Understanding Exponents in BODMAS
Exponents (powers, indices, orders) are the O in BODMAS. They must be resolved immediately after brackets, before any other arithmetic.

3 × 2³ + 5
1. Exponent: 2³ = 8
2. Multiply: 3×8 = 24
3. Add: 24+5 = 29
= 29 ✓
